IERP bandeau Construire un projet
Build a project

Your project, from the first question to the results

IERP can provide services, contribute to scientific collaborations or participate as a partner in a structured project, whether already funded or being developed for a funding call such as ANR, PEPR, a European programme or another scheme. You do not need to have finalised every detail before contacting us.

An initial discussion helps identify the appropriate facility, check the main feasibility requirements and clarify the information needed to proceed.

A straightforward first contact

To get started, send us the information you already have: scientific question, species or model, specific constraints, timeline and support requirements.

If some points remain undefined, they can be clarified during the feasibility discussion.

The stages of a collaboration

1. Initial discussion

Receiving the enquiry, considering confidentiality and identifying the need.

2. Feasibility

Assessing scientific, technical, capacity, regulatory and biosafety considerations.

3. Scoping

Defining the experimental design, responsibilities, deliverables, timeline and budget.

4. Contractual arrangements

Establishing agreements or service arrangements and, where necessary, confidentiality and intellectual property provisions suited to the project.

5. Preparation

Organising animals, equipment, authorisations, logistics and required resources.

6. Implementation

Carrying out procedures, experimental monitoring, humane endpoints, sampling and traceability.

7. Analysis, reporting and dissemination

Delivering data and results according to the agreed scope; where appropriate, preparing scientific dissemination, acknowledgements, contributions or citations of IERP.

Information useful for the first discussion

The following information helps direct your enquiry and identify a suitable collaboration framework from the outset:

  • organisation type: academic institution, company, biotech/start-up, sector stakeholder or other
  • scientific question
  • species or model: mouse, rat, hamster, trout, carp, zebrafish or to be defined
  • type of need: breeding/production, in vivo study, functional phenotyping, method development or other
  • project context: service provision, collaboration, an already funded project or a project being developed for a funding call such as ANR, PEPR, a European programme or another scheme, where relevant
  • any constraints involving a biological agent, GMO or containment level
  • preferred timeline
  • required support
  • confidentiality needs
  • professional contact details

Confidentiality, quotations and timelines

Budgets and implementation times are established after the requirements and project scope have been defined.

A confidentiality agreement (CDA/NDA) can be established when required by the project.

An initial response is provided within 5 to 10 working days.

What can wait until after the first contact?

The initial form does not require:

  •  a fully finalised protocol
  • a detailed budget
  • complete intellectual property information
  • all regulatory documents

These points are addressed once the project’s general feasibility has been sufficiently established.
