Regulation

The EU IERP is subject to many different regulations concerning:

  •    Animal experimentation, ethics and animal welfare
  •    Pathogenic biological agents, genetically modified organisms (GMOs)
  •    Containment, biosafety and the protection of personnel and the environment
  •    The transport of infectious substances
  •    The protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST) and biological safety
  •    The installations classified for the protection of the environment (ICPE) ...

A regulatory watch is thus carried out in all these areas.

It supplies a database called VERSA, created and administered by the Animal Health Department of INRA, focusing on regulation in animal testing, biological safety and security, ethics and animal welfare.
